Cables are a super popular knitting embellishment, and they're easier than you think!
With our knit hat project, you will learn the basics of knitting with two colors to make a stranded, or Fair Isle, pattern while making a very cute hat. You will learn how to manage the two strands of yarn, and how to follow a chart.
This is all about the colorwork, so you will come to the class with your hat already started: you'll cast on, join to knit in the round, and complete the ribbing before the class starts. Don't worry, we'll email you the directions!
You will need:
1 - 100g skein DK weight yarn, such as
Berroco Ultra Wool DK or
Kelbourne Scout
1 - 100g skein of contrasting DK yarn, such as another color of the above yarn, or a color changing yarn like
Feederbrook Farm EntropyUS4 & US6 circular knitting needles,
16" long or
3.5" Interchangeable tips and a
20" cord
This class is taught on Zoom. We will send you the link to join after you register.
