Precision Pieced Diamonds with Sarah Bond
Sarah has been working with diamonds for the past several years and this design emerged as she was playing with shape and line and color (her favorite things). These diamonds are foundation paper pieced and the piecing is a little fiddley, so a bit of paper piecing experience is helpful. Once you’ve mastered the technique, you can use this method to showcase solids and play with color, but you can also choose to include patterns, stripes, almost anything that strikes your fancy. We will focus on construction basics, planning, managing bulk and paper removal. The basic block finishes at 9 X 14. You can build out whatever size piece you like with that infrastructure.
The pattern is included in the class fee and will be emailed to you prior to class. Required supplies: sewing machine, thread, iron, ironing board rotary cutter, cutting mat 24", ruler, scissors for cutting, paper, pins, paper and pencil for notes
