Learn to Knit

Ever wanted to learn how to knit? Or do you have a friend or relative who's been itching to learn? This class for total beginners!

We’ll cover casting on, knit and purl stitches and binding off. By the end, you'll be able to knit your own cowl and fingerless mitts set! This is also a good refresher class for people that "used to knit way back in the day".

Please purchase all your supplies before your first class. You will need:

Worsted weight yarn (size 4). We recommend Kelbourne Keystone or Encore Worsted Solids or Colorspun. You only need one skein/cake. Please choose yarn that is light in color with a smooth texture.
Size US8 straight knitting needles

All of this is available at Stitch Central! Please come before your class to get your supplies - either an earlier day or 15-20 minutes before your class.
