Compass Tote Bag Class
We love noodlehead patterns and we wanna make this one with you!
The super cool Compass tote is excellent and we can make it in 4 hours!
Students should have the pieces cut and interfaced per the noodlehead pattern before class.
Materials and Pattern not included.
Materials needed:
- 1 Compass Tote pattern
- All fabric per the pattern requirement (quantities vary for large and small bag). We recommend our canvas! You can also use quilting cotton for lining and accents.
- Interfacing per the pattern requirement (quantities vary for large and small bag). Follow pattern requirements for SF-101 and Pellon Fusible Fleece quantities.
- 18mm magnetic snap
- 2 1" D-Rings
- 2 1" Swivel Hooks
- 1 1" slider buckle
- 4 8mm double cap rivets for View A (optional)
- 8" zipper for large bag or 6" zipper for small bag
- Coordinating thread
Optional materials (we have these in our classroom, but you can bring your own):
Rotary cutter
Small square ruler (I like to use 4.5? square)
Pins and Clips
Seam Ripper
Fabric scissors
A small pair of sharp scissors with a point
Stiletto Tool
Tailors Chalk (if using dark fabrics)
Disappearing ink pen for marking on fabric
Washaway Wonder Tape or By Annies Double Sided Basting Tape
Sewing machine in good working order
Regular sewing foot attachment for the sewing machine
Zipper foot attachment for the sewing machine
Size 90/14 sewing machine needle.
