Attendees need to purchase the pattern, Making Backpack in advance of the class

Attendees will need to arrive at class with the fabric pieces already cut and interfaced so that we can assemble the pieces together as a class. As there are several options for this project, please reach out if you have ANY questions about the project or how to get it cut beforehand. You'll get much more out of the class if you're ready to sew when you arrive. 

Materials:

• Making Backpack Pattern by Noodlehead
 *IMPORTANT*: Please follow all the directions on the pattern for the required quantities
and dimensions of fabrics, interfacing, webbing, hardware, zippers etc
▪ Please decide ahead of the class which size backpack you would like to make
and which style of front pocket you would like to make. All cutting instructions
for each size and variation are listed in the beginning of the pattern.
▪ All fabric and interfacing should be cut and ironed on before class. Please feel

this step or regarding types of zippers or hardware to use.

• Sewing machine in good working order, see note below
• Zipper foot attachment for sewing machine
• Coordinating polyester thread
• 90/14 needle
• Stiletto tool
• Point Turner tool
• Wash away wonder tape
• Fabric glue stick or Elmer’s School glue stick
• Fabric clips
• Removeable pen or pencil for marking on fabric
• Pins
• Sharp scissors
• Rotary cutter
• Ruler (I Like to use 4.5” x 12.5” and 6.5” x 24.5”)
• Cutting mat
NOTE: scissors, rotary cutter, ruler and mat will be available to use in the classroom if you don't bring your own. 
If you would like to use one of Stitch Central's sewing machines, please let us know in advance so we can have it ready for you. 


Ironing table, Irons and Cutting Station will be provided.
