Brioche Knitting Basics

Brioche is a great technique to show off pretty hand-dyed yarn - you see both colors on each side!

Choose two contrasting Worsted weight yarns, such as Malabrigo Rios, making sure they look nice together but don't have any common colors.

During the first class, Lindsay will guide you through the basic steps of working the Brioche stitch in the round. For the second class, you will have the option to continue working on your cowl, or learning to work the Brioche stitch flat in a new project.

Materials needed:
2 skeins of Worsted weight yarn, one each in two contrasting colors.
Note - you may use variegated or striped yarns, but make sure the second skein reads as a solid color
16" circular needle, size US8
Stitch marker

To save time at the beginning of class, you may want to cast on 80 stitches prior to class (use either one of your yarns)
