Make Your Own Quilted Sneakers
Choose 3 fabrics and quilt yourself a pair of comfy sneakers!
This full day class will take you through all the steps (har har), from cutting, quilting, binding, and shoe assembly. Tell us beforehand if you want black or white soles, and provide your shoe size.
Included in the class fee:
Sneaker kit, retail value $85.
Coffee, water, snacks
Ironing and pressing stations will be set up in the classroom
Materials to bring:
1/4 yard for upper
1/4 yard lining (Fat Quarters preferred)
10" x 10" square for tongues
Or - bring 3 fat quarters! Think about pattern and contrast.
Extra wide bias tape or 4 @ 18" x 1.75" bias-cut strips (FQ will work)
1 yard Pellon SF 101 woven interfacing
Coordinating all-purpose thread
Tools to bring:
Sewing machine
Walking foot if possible
Scissors
Pins, marking tools
This class does not use rotary cutters/mats
There will be a lunch break mid-day. You may bring your own lunch or get lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants.
