Blanket KAL Season 7
Register now for the 2025-26 season of our blanket knit along!
For Season 7, we're focusing on simple lace patterns in a strip format - no seaming!
Materials:
-Choose from Worsted Weight or Chunky Weight yarn:
Choose ONE border color (2 @ 100g balls), and up to 9 panel colors (1 @ 100g ball each). See notes.
-US 8 (worsted) OR US10 (chunky) circular needles, 32"
-Stitch markers, darning needle
-The blanket will consist of seed stitch borders at the beginning, end, and between each strip. Once all strips are completed, there will be the option to pick up along the sides and work side borders. Choose one color for this, 2 balls @100g each.
-There will be 9 pattern strips, one new one each month. You'll receive the pattern in an email on the meeting day.
-Yarn choices: you can choose the same color for all your strips, 9 different colors, or anything in between. Think of a theme: beach, Mardi Gras, sports team, neutrals, brights, Christmas...or just pick colors you like. One ball @ 100g for each strip.
Meetings:
We meet in person and on Zoom on the first Friday of each month Sept-June, and the morning of each session you'll receive and email with that month's stitch pattern. The 10th session will be all about finishing - borders and weaving in ends.
