Weekend Sling
Prep Work (before class):
- Purchase the Weekend Sling by Minki Kim pattern
- Please have fabrics and interfacing cut, following the pattern instructions.
- Cut your d-ring tabs to measure 4”x4” to fit in the 1” D-rings
- Labeling pieces with sticky notes or tape is encouraged to stay organized.
NOTE: The flying geese panel for the front can be optional. If students prefer a more simplified version of the bag, please add extra fat quarter amounts of the exterior and lining fabrics and we can cut the necessary sizes in class.
Materials:
- 7 - 5" x 5" assorted print fabrics for large triangles (if you are using them)
- Exterior fabric :
- 1/2 yard, if you are including the flying geese panel on the front
- 1/2 yard, PLUS a fat quarter if you are NOT including the flying geese
- Lining: 2/3 yard
- Cotton batting or fusible fleece: 1/2 yard
- 1/2 yard byAnnie’s Soft and Stable foam
- Pellon SF-101 Woven fusible interfacing: fat eighth
- 1’’wide cotton or poly webbing for strap: 1 1/2 yard
- 1 yard of #5 Zipper by the yard with nylon teeth
- (2) 1’’ D-rings
- (1) 1’’wide strap slider
- (1) 1’’ swivel hook
- By Annies basting Tape
- Stiletto Tool
- Coordinating Polyester Thread
- Zipper foot for sewing machine if you are bringing your own

*We have sewing machines available to borrow for an additional cost of $20 and they must be booked in advance.

Class Cancellation Policy:
72 hours notice or more - we can either move you to a later class or give you a refund
Within 72 hours of the class (or right before class) - we can credit you with 50% of the class fee
You missed the class & didn't let us know - we cannot credit you for the class fee
