Emerson Shorts
The Emerson shorts are flattering, fairly easy, and a great way to work on your garment sewing.
In this class, you'll learn how to choose your size, make darts/pleats, make an elastic casing, hem and more. These shorts are a pull-on style, so you'll have a flattering pair of shorts without a zipper!
You will need:
Emerson pattern
Fabric, amount listed on pattern for your size. Consider Brussels Washer linen, Essex linen, or any quilting cotton for a fun print or solid.
PLEASE PRE-WASH FABRIC BEFORE THE CLASS!
Thread to match fabric
1-1/2in elastic
Also bring:
Scissors, snips, pins, clips and other regular sewing supplies
Sewing Machine*
We have sewing machines available to borrow for an additional cost of $20 and they must be booked in advance.
Please add the loaner machine to your order.
If you are planning on using your own machine, please make sure it is good working condition.
We will provide:
Irons and ironing surfaces
Cutting mats and cutters
